We will only collect personal data that is relevant and necessary for the purposes set out below.

How and Why We Use Your Personal Data

We use your information for a number of reasons. These include:

  • To fulfil our contract with you (for example delivering, collecting, servicing or warranty-handling your leased vehicle).

  • To take steps before entering into a contract (for example assessing suitability, agreeing terms).

  • To comply with legal or regulatory obligations (for example tax, vehicle licensing, insurance).

  • To pursue our legitimate interests (for example managing risk, maintaining fleet, improving service) provided your interests and rights are not overridden.

  • With your consent or as permitted by law, to send marketing information about our services.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies on our website to help identify you (where you consent), improve your experience, understand how you use our site, and promote our services. You may refuse or disable cookies via your browser settings, but this may affect website functionality. For full details please see our Cookie Policy [insert link].

Vehicle Telematics, Tracking and Immobilisation

We fit telematics devices in vehicles leased from us. These devices collect data including vehicle location, driving behaviour (such as speed, acceleration, braking), mileage, diagnostic and usage data. We use this information to manage and protect our vehicles, verify usage, detect and respond to misuse or theft, maintain warranty and insurance arrangements, and enforce lease terms.

In specific circumstances described in your lease agreement (for example non-payment, unauthorised use or theft) we reserve the right to remotely immobilise the vehicle. This will only be done in accordance with applicable law, for safety or contractual reasons, and never in a way that would endanger you or others. We will retain telematics data only for as long as necessary, and access is restricted to authorised personnel.

We make this policy section visible and clear so you understand how vehicle tracking works and what it means.

Please note: because location and driver behaviour data can be very sensitive, we ensure lawful basis, fairness, transparency and appropriate safeguards in line with UK GDPR and the guidance of the ICO.

We may share your data with:

  • Service providers and subcontractors who assist us (for example delivery and collection firms, vehicle servicing garages, IT/CRM providers)

  • Credit reference and driving-licence checking agencies

  • Insurance and warranty providers

  • Government, regulator or law enforcement bodies (where required by law)

  • Prospective buyers or entities involved in a business sale or restructure of our company

Where personal data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we will ensure there are appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) in place.

Retention of Your Data

We will retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, and to satisfy legal, tax, accounting or regulatory obligations. Once data is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymise it in accordance with our retention schedule.
